During the first half of 2025 Become consortia partners have been busy organizing intergenerational workshops with our case study partner biosphere reserves. The aim of the workshop is to generate future visions for a more sustainable region in the biosphere reserves. The workshops aim inform the action plans of the biosphere reserves with the visions and opinions of their youth.
For example, on May 14th, we organized a future visioning workshop with high school students in Umeå, a city within the Vindelälven-Juhttátahkka Biosphere area, Sweden. The workshop was facilitated by Hanna Sinare (SRC), Katja Malmborg (UIB) and Daniela Nedelcheva (Vindelälven-Juhttátahkka Biosphere area). The participants enjoyed learning about living in a biosphere area and to envision a good future and how to work towards that future, even though it was at times challenging for them.
The Consortia will work to develop artworks jointly with all participating BRs and evaluate impact of workshops on participants attachments to their BRs and change making efforts.
